Bookings to be confirmed by valid Credit/Debit Card or fully paid deposit.
Bookings not guaranteed by a valid Credit/Debit Card will not be considered as confirmed bookings and will only be treated as provisional.
Cancellation of bookings made on an individual basis will be accepted up to 48 hours prior to arrival. Bookings cancelled less than 10am 48 hours prior to arrival may be charged at the full quoted rate .Payment will be accepted on all major Credit/Debit Cards or with cash. We do not accept cheque's.
Upon acceptance of a booking, the West Country Inn shall require a deposit of 25% of the total booking. The deposit is non-
The Hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking without any liability on it’s part in the event of damage, fire, destruction or ‘Act of God’ to the hotel which is beyond it’s control or any other cause that will prevent it’s contractual obligations in connection with any booking.
Payment of the bill for accommodation, food, beverages and other services must be made prior to departure from the hotel. All prices for accommodation, food and beverages are stated in pounds sterling and are inclusive of V.A.T at the standard rate. Loss of or Damage to Guest’s Property.
The Hotel does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to any cash, money, jewelry or articles of value.In the event of negligence that is proven on the part of the Hotel arising to damage of an article belonging to a Guest’s, the Hotel’s liability will be limited to £50.00 for any single article and a total of £100.00 to any one Guest. No liability is accepted for any subsequent loss arising from the loss or damage to property of the Guest.
Lost property will always be returned if found. We reserve the right to charge the cost of packaging and shipping. Payment shall be paid in advance for this service.
The West Country Inn does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to motor cars or vehicles of any kind or any property damaged or lost in them or any animals or pets. The Inn refers to and relies upon the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956.
Loss from or Damage to Hotel Property.
Guests will indemnify the Hotel for any loss from or damage to the Hotel or the furnishings and equipment therein caused by the willful act or default of the Guest or persons or animals within their control.The Guest shall pay to the Hotel on demand the amount required to make good or remedy the damage or replace any missing items from the Hotel. If in the opinion of the Hotel the Guest or anyone staying with the Guest is not suitable to continue their occupation because of unreasonable behaviour, damage or nuisance to other parties, the Hotel is entitled to treat the booking period as terminated.The Guest may be asked to vacate their room and will remain liable for the whole cost of the booking. No refund or recompense shall be due.
If the Guest has a complaint arising from any aspect of their stay, it will be their duty to inform the Hotel as soon as practicable and in any event before the termination of their stay. The failure of a Guest to notify a complaint within the booked period will entitle the Hotel to refuse to entertain the complaint, irrespective of the merits of the complaint.
The tariff displayed on our website shows our standard rates. We run regular special offers and promotions. Lower rates are also often available for late vacancies and seasonal fluctuations. Please call us to check our lowest available rates. Lower rates may be available from third party online booking websites. We reserve the right to amend our tariff when necessary and without notice. Although unlikely during stated periods, these may go up or down. All bookings will be honoured at the rate booked at the time of reservation.
Arrival & Departure
Rooms are generally ready for check in from 2.00pm. Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 11.00am. Late check out may be available by request if the room has not been booked by another party on the same day.

Facilities are available with discounted rates to parties of 4 Guns or more. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. Guns and Accessories are the sole responsibility of the owners. We take no responsibility for their safe keeping or licensing.

We welcome dogs. They are permitted in the bar area but are not allowed in other public areas or the restaurant. We have plenty of space for you to exercise your pet, but would request that dogs are kept on a lead in the garden.
The Guest shall not arrange for the delivery or deliver goods to the Hotel without prior arrangement. The Guest must not store or place on the grounds of or in the Hotel any inflammable, combustible or objectionable substance or liquid.
The hotel does not allow food or drink other than that purchased for the consumption on site unless by prior arrangement with the Hotel. There is a corkage charge of £15.00 per 70cl bottle and £20.00 per magnum.
The construction, validity and performance of this Agreement is governed by the law of England and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. The Guest agrees that the Contract with the Hotel is made at the Hotel’s premises and that any proceedings between the parties shall be conducted in the County Court nearest to the Hotel.
The failure of the Hotel to enforce or exercise, at any time, or any right pursuant to this Agreement does not constitute and shall not be construed as a waiver of such term or right.
